My name is Suzie and I am a fully trained wedding celebrant and Celebrants Scotland Marriage Officer. I am also a fully trained funeral celebrant and it is an incredible honour to work closely with people in the happiest of times and during difficult moments of loss.
I have been a nurse for over 30 years and I love to work with people which is why being a celebrant, celebrating love and life, is a perfect career for me.
I am based in Ayrshire and I am happy to travel to meet your needs.
I love love. I am a hopeless romantic and so much so I have married my wife twice. We apparently put on a pretty good wedding so who knows we might not stop at two!
I also love fun. I am known for my sense of humour and have even written and performed stand up comedy in the past so I would love to work with you to bring humour and compassion into your ceremony.
I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and would be delighted to work with you to celebrate those milestone memories such as your coming-out moment or gender confirmation as well as your wedding ceremony. I can help craft a thoughtful announcement that reflects your feelings, your journey, and your identity as you celebrate you!
Something you should know about me is that I love dogs. I am known to talk to every dog I see even if I am just passing by in the car. I also like to name every dog I see so if you plan on having your pooches as part of your big day I must warn you I'm likely to smother them with kisses and cuddles.
Firstly congratulations on your engagement. What an exciting time for you both and I am so pleased you have visited my website. I know that as well as being an exciting time it can also be a wee bit daunting so please be assured that you are in very safe hands with me as your wedding celebrant.
As someone who loves 'love' it is an absolute privilege to get to work with couples to deliver you the wedding ceremony you have dreamed about.
I specialise in designing meaningful, heartfelt, and fully personalised ceremonies that honour your special day. Working closely with you, my aim is to bring your unique love story to life. Whether you are planning a quiet, intimate ceremony with your closest loved ones or a grander affair, I am dedicated to creating the wedding ceremony you envision, infused with humour, empathy, and meticulous attention to detail. ❤️
As a funeral celebrant, it is an incredible privilege to honour and celebrate the lives of those who have passed, by creating a personalised and meaningful ceremony. I work closely with families to understand the life and values of their loved one, ensuring each service is a true reflection of their legacy.
My goal is to honour and celebrate the life of the deceased and provide compassionate support to the bereaved, helping them find a path through their grief and towards healing.
We all have significant moments in our lives that we cherish and may wish to commemorate. Celebrating love and life can mean different things to people so please let me know if there is a particular occasion or event you would like to celebrate, and we can work together to make it happen.

You are able to get married pretty much anywhere you like! You might want to be on your favourite Scottish beach, or in a barn or halfway up a mountain. You could even get married in your own garden.
The ceremony I will design for you is completely individual so if you wanted a particular prayer or reading you can most certainly have that. I can even help with some suggestions if you're not quite sure what you want included.
I can incorporate as many or as few traditions into the ceremony as you wish. The most popular traditions are handfasting (where we get 'tying the knot' from) and drinking from the quaich (symbolising your past, present and future together). But there are many more we can chat through to get the perfect tradition for your day
